Diabetes can be cured and one can lead a healthy life! A 105-year-old Japanese academician shares the secret of his victory over diabetes

Renowned Japanese endocrinologist, inventor, scientist, Nobel Prize winner and many other awards, Aretha Tanaka retired at the age of 90, but he did not retire in spirit or physically. My retirement coincided with my personal awareness of the disease. I was diagnosed with type II diabetes. And only all my experience in endocrinology helped me to find a solution.

Correspondent: What are the pathologies of high blood sugar?

Aretha Tanaka: It affects the whole body. But, of course, it first affects the organs and systems that have a well-developed vascular system.

It happens everywhere. In the Philippines, people die from diabetes complications 4 times more than in other countries.
